Some love stories arrive all at once. Others unfold quietly, as though fate has known their ending long before their beginning.

Ours began in 2021, at Colorado State University, where a mutual friend first brought our paths together. By some lovely coincidence, we lived in the same apartment building, never knowing that something so ordinary would become the beginning of something extraordinary. What started as late-night conversations, endless laughter, and an easy friendship slowly grew into something neither of us could have imagined. By 2023, friendship had given way to love, and before long, we found ourselves building a life together in Denver.

Of course, no telling of our story would be complete without Dobby, Jolie's beloved Bernedoodle, who quickly claimed Devin as his own. In 2025, we found a place to call home, and the following year, our little family grew with the arrival of Nirvana. Between muddy paws, ordinary mornings, and all the beautiful chaos of everyday life, we discovered that love was not only found in grand gestures, but in the quiet comfort of belonging to one another.

And then, forever.

On June 22, 2026, Devin asked Jolie to marry him at Ketring Park, upon the very bench where her father had once asked her mother the same question. A place already woven into one love story became the beginning of another. It was a moment that seemed to hold both past and future at once, reminding us that some places are destined to witness love more than once.

And so, with the best of our story still unwritten, we look toward October 10, 2027, when we will stand before the people we hold dearest and promise each other a lifetime.
